Mrs. Audrey Walker is a committed public servant and lifelong Trenton resident. Employed at Trenton Housing Authority as the Director, Housing Operations she has been instrumental in housing thousands of Trenton residents.  She is a certified Public Housing Manager and Occupancy Specialist and earned her degree in Business Administration. She is a member of the Trenton/Mercer Continuum of Care Executive Board helping to drive and deliver their mission of ensuring that those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness will have access to community and system resources to resolve their immediate crisis.  

After surviving a tumultuous three-year battle with breast cancer in 2007, Audrey Walker became one of the founding members and is the Program Director of the Healing Stream Breast Cancer Awareness Organization. Since its inception, the Healing Stream Breast Cancer Awareness Organization has educated, counseled, and supported countless women and their families in the community affected by breast cancer. Audrey personally serves these women by making herself readily available to them one by one. She shares her story of triumph, giving encouragement, and imparting hope and strength while they walk through their process. 

Under Audrey’s leadership, the Healing Stream team has organized multiple breast cancer awareness 5K walks taking its message of hope and support out into the community. The organization hosts annual scholarship teas awarding $1,000 scholarship to college students whose immediate care giver is battled breast cancer. These fundraisers enable the Healing Stream Organization to fulfill its mission of supporting women and providing intimate care and meeting the immediate needs to aid in getting them and their families through their daily battle against the disease.   

Audrey knows herself to be a blessed woman of God, is a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is proud of her accomplishment of finding wisdom and knowledge through Christ and interceding in prayer for others.  One of her favorite scriptures is Proverbs 2:6…“Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding, for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold. She is more precious than jewels and nothing you desire can compare to her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.”
